How to Reduce Shortages & Surpluses in Book Publishing

In 2008, Random House Publishing invited Goldratt Research Labs to conduct a research study on how to sustainably and profitably reduce the level of shortages and surpluses in book publishing. In this presentation, Dr. Alan Barnard, CEO of Goldratt Research Labs shares the findings of this research project and the results achieved by implementing a Theory of Constraints solution to reduce shortages and surpluses both at RH distribution centers and their retail customers that participated in the pilots which included Barnes & Nobles, Amazon and independent book sellers.
